Steve Shaw Steve is a founding member of The Company Rep, working both on and off stage. He hit a career highlight playing the Water Closet Door in John Irving’s The Pension Grillparzer, and played Curio in Twelfth Night. Other recent acting credits include MacDermott in The Royal Family at Sierra Madre Playhouse. He is also The Company Rep’s resident sound designer, creating soundscapes for Twelfth Night, Split, Six Degrees of Separation, Season’s Greetings, Criminal Minds, and many more. His sound design work has been heard at The Canon Theatre in Beverly Hills (on Charles Nelson Reilly’s Save It for the Stage:The Life of Reilly), and at many other theatres, including The Met, The Lex, The Court, Two Roads, Company of Angels, Sierra Madre Playhouse, to name a few. Previously, he was a long-time member of Actors Alley, working both on- and offstage in the same capacity. He has an extensive collection of 1960s music, which he used when hosting his college radio show, The Acid Trip. On film, if you look quickly, you can see him in the holocaust survivor drama Visas and Virtue, an Oscar-winner for best live action short subject. |
